RetroKade Retro Video Arcade MachinesTaken a short little movie of me wandering around my unit where I have some 150 arcade machines from the 70s and onwards with obvious classics like Defender, Pac-Man, Asteroids etc, but also rarer machines like Reactor, Space Dungeon and many machines have been imported from the USA. Once upon a time the plan was to open to the public but a series of landlords from hell scuppered that. Half of these machines will have to go and so I wanted to make a video for prosperity and also my first youtube upload :)    |

Neo Geo MVS Arcade Machine Review Part 1My Neo Geo MVS arcade cabinet, Australian model 6 slot motherboard cabinet! I have a Part two, check out my other videos to see the ending to this review! Basically i just show all the parts and what bits do what, i know when i wanted one of these Arcade Machines videos and information was pretty scarce, only a handful of videos of this specific type of cabinet on Youtube and stuff on the Net so i thought i'd make a video. Sorry about my voice, i guess i grumble alot and had my mouth way to close to the camera lol - sorry about it being a bit too dark! i couldnt really show off whats inside it was so dark, i know i can brighten it up with windows movie maker (which i did when i was doing this on my laptop) but then when i transferred it to my computer it was dark again, i guess it varies on how bright your screen is etc. i do have some photos uploaded on photobucket that you can see of the inside of my cabinet, check them out here! - s953.photobucket.com They are much brighter images that show the whole inside of the cabinet! WHAT THE BUTLER SAW 1920's Penny Arcade MachineHi you are looking at a restored Arcade machine , where they used at Piers / Penny Arcades . " The machine isnt playing this music by the way " It works on a Threepence , where the machine is wound up like a Gramophone , and the user views the black and white photos. the monet tin by the way is about the size of a old house brick, and a Threepence back then was pure silver . Just imagine now , if the tin was full. The Brass and Copper alon took one fullday just on the Buff , where the Brass had oxidized in a red colour . The copper , was later discovered . The green was left , as after all those years , there would have been various colours painted over the years . The mounting board , is actaully made from an old sign , where the paint was basically pascall colours back then , where the paint had also cracked . you can also see where the some of the word was "PENNY ARCADE " in a unusual Script . I believe , it was Luna Park In Melbounre for a long time , and made its way to Adelaide , where it was at Semaphore Side Shows for A numbe rof Years . The Motor is typical gramophone style , and was built pre 1900 in the states , where these originated . The actual winding crank , was that rusted , it looked like it had come out of a paddock . It is spring loaded to prevent the operated from breaking the gramophone spring, as a safety measuere ." They didnt have these types of handles for house old use for the ovious reason of repairs to broken springs and upgrades . The cabinet ...    |
Arcade PCB And Arcade Machine NO SOUND/ SOUND PROBLEMS Repair TIpIf you have an arcade machine that isn't putting out any or clear sound or you have an arcade pcb or game that has partial sound, crackeling sound, only sound effects and no music or any other sound related problems, this tip might help you fix that problem. First things first, check, re-check, and tripple check that the -5v line is hooked up to the JAMMA harness correctly and/or hooked up. For a lot of the arcade boards/pcb's the -5v is an essential part of the sound and without it being connected or being connected to another part on the board you will most likely experience all of the above sound trouble when you hook up an arcade game. This is meant as a trouble shooting tip to help you reduce or eliminate sound issues you may be having with your arcade machine and boards and get you back on track to enjoying the games you love to play    |
